So finally arrived in Washington quite late checked in - kids managed the lift system far better than us long story ....... but very funny that's what you get for raising intelligent children they make you look stupid!

Woke up grabbed a quick breakfast then off to explore, first stop Iwa Jima memorial and Arlington Cemetery the first of the memorials we can't compete us Brits we just don't have anything as fitting reminded of this throughout the day.

We passed the Pentagon and parked up at Capitol Hill - everywhere very accessible and no problem in parking! Unlike London. Dropped the car and then took the Metro to our next stop

Metro and cab back to hotel kids had a swim unfortunately the lifeguard had a sense of humour bypass! Hey ho
